Forbidden Kingdom

Yup, you guessed it right!

My extremely-addicted-to-online-games little brother suddenly told us that he wanted to watch Jackie Chan and Jet Li’s first ever movie together The Forbidden Kingdom. Even our grandma actually wanted to see it! I think she has a crush on Jet Li. But I prefer Jackie. He looks cute and funny. ^___^ Ahaha.

I’ve heard from my friend that it’s actually a “Journey to the West”-inspired film so I was joking my brother and grandma that the movie was actually just a live action of the anime DragonBall. :P It’ll be a spoiler if I told the plot here so I’ll just give out some comments about the movie.

Overall, the movie is good although I think they could have improved on it more like add more special effects or polish the storyline. It was a very fictional story by the way, with characters such as a fighting monk, a drunken kung fu master, a witch, immortals, etc. It was sort of a fairytale for kids. :P I consider it cute though. Sometimes the script is very hard to understand since most of the actors are Chinese while the script is in English. And I think it became a problem for the actors to properly project and say their lines when they can’t even understand them.

Here are some of the promotional materials of the film:

You can visit their official website too. There are lots of interesting things there. :)

I really loved the character of the witch born among wolves. Not only was the actress pretty and her costume (not to mention her long white wig) awesome, her personality amuses me too. ^_^ I think other than Jet and Jackie, she’s enjoying much attention from  movie-goers as well.

That’s about it! You gotta watch it and find out for yourself if it is a really great movie and one that’s worthwhile to watch and spend for. =P

IT’S A… IT’S A…

Hiya! ^_^

This morning, my grandma and I went to Mary the Queen Parish in Greenhills for a medical examination that she has been participating in for 3 years now. The first one she attended was the one held at my high school at St. Theresa’s College. I don’t really get an examination myself. I just accompany my grandma and her other siblings and relatives. But this year, I remembered that they offer a blood type test too and it’s for only Php50. I was kinda curious to know my blood type since I was small and this was my chance to discover something new about myself! ^_^ Hahaha. So I gathered up courage and asked the attendant there if I could avail of that service and he said yes! Just some minutes after, the medical volunteer pierced my ring finger and got a few drops of blood which he placed in a - what do you call that, i forgot – that thing where you put the organisms to be put under the microscope. Hahaha. Then he mixed it with some solutions and then TADA! I’m blood type A! XD Well, I was praying I was AB. Why? Nothing really. It just seems cool. LOL! I don’t even know my parents’ blood type so I really had no idea what blood type could I possibly have. I wonder what it means if you have blood type A. @_@

So much about my fondness for these things…

I also availed of the free eye examination and the doctor said that my eyesight’s still okay. I may just be tired and lacking sleep. Although I did notice that my left eye is far clearer than the right one. o_o You can try it too. Try covering one eye at a time and read something. =P

Enough of these nonsense things. Pardon me for being so random and… weird.

So, what blood type are you? :)

I Think, I Am A Little Sad

Aww, it makes me sad that it’s been almost a month since I actually posted something here again.

I think I said last time that I’ll be posting some personal stuff and pictures but I’ve not time to transfer pictures from my phone to upload here. Too bad. :P I really have nothing to post today. I just don’t want to see my blog crumble into pieces because of not being updated. I really want to keep this!

It seems like I haven’t got time to post because I’ve been busy being a cinderella here at home (it means being an instant maid ^_^) and also because just like any other summer, this year’s a really boring one. This is the time I stay at home for the longest possible period. And so, nothing interesting really happens. Nothing worth posting here.

Maybe I’ll just share with you how boring summer is for me. It’s what some people may call, “boring to the nth level.” You wake up, eat, take a bath, sleep, wake up again, eat, watch tv, and sleep. I envy those people who go out with family or friends and go to the beach or somewhere else. My friends who are taking summer classes are even also envy-able. Hay, I wish to escape from this nothingness I call my home. Bah, I’m so bad. Maybe this is teen spirit! Having no desire whatsoever to stay too long at home….

Oh someone please take me away from here! Take me away with you to paradise.
